Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Red boards, black title to spine and "The Abbey School Series" vignette to front board. Colour frontis. 256 pages, top edge red. Spine bumped, slight fading to lower edge of front cover. Black stain to top of front cover. Prize plate to front pastedown. Writing in ink (two addresses) to front free-endpaper. Child's name in pencil to half title-page. Small stains to textblock. Contents browned. Price-cut wrapper is edge worn with tears to corners of rear panel. Ink doodles and writing to verso of wrapper.

Top edge faded. Wrapper is creased and grubby with 1 inch loss at top of spine, with tape and sticky paper repairs / strengthening to verso.
