Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. The Famous Five's first adventure featuring a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure. Black boards, silver titles. Plain endpapers. B/w illustrations.

Publisher's file copy with ink stamp and number written in ink to front endpaper and number written in ink to centre of spine of wrapper. Slight bumping to spine. A couple of small foxspots to textblock else contents appear unread. Dustwrapper is just a little worn at corners with minimal loss (cleverly disguised with photocopies beneath) and lightly spotted to rear edge of spine.
