Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Cream boards with black titles. Plain endpapers. B/w illustrations. 191 pages. The Famous Five's first adventure featuring a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure.

Spine bumped with slight discolouration to top and tail. A couple of tiny spots to covers. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, prelims and textblock. A couple of page corner tip very lightly creased. Dustwrapper is stained and creased to front flap, is slightly worn to spine and corners with slight loss and has a few small closed edge tears.
