Poor condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. The 6th adventure of the Famous Five. Timmy is in trouble, there are strangers on the island and a secret tunnel under the sea. Red boards. Blue and black pictorial endpapers. 192 pages. B/w and two-colour illustrations.

All pages are present but many are DETACHED or loose. A little bumping to spine and corners. Light marks to covers. Home made library plates to blank page at front of book and verso of rear free endpaper. Also name and address to prelims. Odd tear, mark and fox spot to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears, large tear to front fold causing flap to only be attached by 2". Loss from base of spine. Browned and slightly grubby. A reading copy.
