Three children, home for the holidays find a mysterious boy living next-door. Red cloth, black titles. Black and white illustrations. 184 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Fading to spine and board edges. Small split in cloth at top of spine. Small bookseller's label to top of front pastedown. Boards are slightly bowed. Foxing mainly to page edges. Bottom corner of some pages lightly creased. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears (including to front fold and spine) and creasing. Some of the tears have been mended on verso with clear tape. Some loss to top and bottom of spine. Chipping to corners. Light foxing to verso.
