Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. The story of four town children, well-drawn and strongly contrasted characters, of different ages, who go to live at the farm while their parents are away. A Tale of the Countryside. Orange cloth, black titles. B/w illustrations. 150 pages.
Spine bumped and worn with some fading to top and bottom edges. Spots of wear to corners. A little fading to covers, mostly to bottom edges. Four letter written to rear cover, small writing. Heavy browning to free endpapers. A couple of hinges cracked. Foxing, mainly to text block. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with tears to ends of folds and spine, some loss from top of faded spine. Some scratches to rear panel. Some stains to front panel. Verso is browned and stained.
