Slightly better than very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. This most peculiar mystery was made up by four children to entertain Uncle Bob. Cream boards, red title to spine. B/w and two-tone illustrations.

Spine and corners a little bumped. Light foxing to endpapers and page edges otherwise contents are in very good condition. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn with a couple of small tears. Rear panel and flap slightly grubby. A few brown marks to verso.

  • This is a most peculiar mystery. It was one made up the four children to entertain Nicky's Uncle Bob who had been ill. Messages in code - signals flashing at night - underground caves - a mysterious man called Harry ... what fun! Uncle Bob didn't really believe in the mystery, of course - until it bagan to come true! Then the fun began, and the pretend mystery became REAL!
