Almost very good condition. A collection of folk-tales originating chiefly from Crete and Venice in the 17th century. Red cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover, black title to front cover. 32 superb colour plates. 303 numbered pages.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn, small dent to top edge of front cover. Light damp marks to cover edges. Name and date in ink to front endpaper. Browning to rear endpapers, front endpapers are grubby, foxing to textblock and one plate has a small margin tear (actual illustration not affected).
