Full-page colour pictures - exquisitely beautiful, black silhouettes against marble colours, plus numerous other silhouette illustrations. 104 pages. ISBN: 0224618822. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Light vertical mark to centre of front cover. Slight foxing to top edge of textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with slight loss. Small red ink mark to front panel of wrapper, authors name partially rubbed to spine.

This is a rough and uncorrected proof. Polish folk tales. This book grew out of stories told to the author as a child by her Polish father. Orange cardwraps. 8 striking full-colour plates plus silhouette illustrations. 151 pages. ISBN: 0460057510. Minor damp stain to top rear corner. Text block browned with some foxing/marks. Tiny damp stain to top corner tip of contents. Otherwise contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn, torn to top rear corner (small), front flap is staple to front panel at top edge, a few damp stains to verso (not visible to front).
