Green pictorial cloth. B/w frontis. 289 pages plus 6 page book list to rear. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine and cover edges slightly darkened. Front free-endpaper (and possible half-title?) has been removed causing frontis and title-page to be a little loose. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Rear free-endpaper also removed. Browning to contents else clean.

De-Luxe edition, Limited to 500 copies. 40 exquisite tissue-guarded colour plates, mounted on brown card. 38 tales and legends collected from many sources. Vellum bound, with gilt titles and vignettes. Foxing and spotting to covers, endpapers and outer page edges; a few to some page margins. Ties to covers are no longer present. A few scuff marks to covers. All plates are present and in fine condition!

Very good condition.
Large format. Green cloth covers. Gilt decorative and text. A fascinating insight into the English monastic life exquisitely illustrated in colour. Top edge gilt. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Fading to spine, with a couple of chips to cloth at top. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Some foxing. A few page edges have tears, with a bit of loss, where at one time pages were uncut and they have not been cut neatly.

Covers are unevenly faded. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Foxing to endpapers, a few page margins and outer page edges. 4 plates have light creases.

Large, heavy format. Blue-green cloth with elaborate gilt decoration to front cover and gilt title and decorations to spine. 32 beautiful colour plates with captioned tissue guards. 378 pages, top edge gilt. Large format. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. A few very light marks to covers. Endpapers lightly browned. Front joint is cracked as are a couple of hinges. Small piece of surface paper damage to page 100 and verso of plate where possibly pages were lightly stuck together. Foxing throughout else contents clean. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
