Almost very good condition. Red cloth, elaborate gilt decorations. All edges gilt, 12 mounted colour plates with tissue-guards & numerous b/w/ illustrations. 283 pages. Pale blue illustrated endpapers.
Spine and corners bumped. A few light marks to covers and some slight discolouration to front cover. Inscription in ink (dated 1913) to verso of front free-endpaper. Foxing (some heavy), mainly to outer page edges. The mount for the plate opposite page 6 has a small piece torn from lower corner (actual plate not affected. A nice copy of a scarce book.
