Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Twelve separate volumes, each dealing with one subject-group, and each complete and independent in itself from A to Z, though the volumes are linked by cross references. Thirteenth volume is a general index and ready reference volume completing the work. Red cloth boards, gilt titles to spines. Colour & b/w illustrations.

Various printings during the 1960s. Nice, clean examples. Wrapper of volume 11 has a closed tear in centre.
