Almost very good condition. Some of Aldin's best work went into this, one of his favourite books. Two volumes. Red cloth, gilt titles and vignette. 12 colour plates in each volume plus numerous text illustrations. Top edges gilt.
Both volumes dampstained, a little marked, and faded to spine. Corners bumped. Tissue-guard between frontis and title page missing to volume II. Hinges pulled. Minor foxing to text block. A few grubby marks and minor foxing to contents. All plates present.
