Good condition. Pictorial front board by Topham showing children with puppies. Cream Spine with black titles and vignette. Orange and green flowered endpapers. Colour plates and b/w text illustrations throughout. First story is "The Hole In The Road" by Madeline Barnes.
Spine is bumped and rubbed with small split to cloth at top. Title and vignette are a little rubbed, Corners and board edges are rubbed. Some scuffing to front board. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Tears to some pages including edges of some plates. First page of first story may have been loose and reinserted as edges are ragged and there is a closed tear from the inner margin. Rear joint is cracked. Some foxing and grubby marks. Puzzles are not done.
