Green cloth, gilt titles on spine and front cover. This is the only full-length William book (the others being made up of short stories) and was based on Val Guest's screenplay for the 1947 film of the same name. 264 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed, marks to covers. Front free-endpaper has been removed. Child's pencil and red felt-tip pen writing to rear pastedown. Light foxing to textblock. Some margin marks but contents generally clean.

Minimal rubbing to spine and corners. Tiny dent to top edge of rear cover. Endpapers and textblock are lightly foxed. Dustwrapper is complete, just a little edge rubbed and slightly grubby to rear panel. There is a small hole/tear to rear panel as well.
