Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Letters originally written to solace the authors brother-in-law (John Buxton) who was captured in Norway in 1940, as a prisoner or war. Red cloth, gilt title to spine and small vignette to front cover. 243 pages. B/w illustrations.
Spine and corners bumped. Spine faded at top and tail. Endpapers browned. Tiny booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Light foxing to top edge of textblock. Dustwrapper is grubby and edge worn/torn with tape repairs on verso, loss to top and tail of spine and foxed/browned.
