Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. The story of poor old Timothy Tortoise and his loyal friend and companion Frederick Fitzherbert Frog. They are already elderly gentlemen when we meet them, so it is only the story of a small part of their lives, but quite a lot happens in a short space of time. Blue boards, red title and vignette to front cover and spine. B/w illustrations throughout. 157 pages. 8 x 5.5".
Spine bumped and lightly browned. Light browning to endpapers and a few light fox spots, mainly to prelims and text block. Odd grubby fingermark to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a few small tears, white labels stuck to verso to repair some of them. Spine a little faded, panels and spine grubby with some foxing.
