Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Green cloth with dark brown title to spine. B/w illustrations. 254 pages.

Spine slightly bumped and grubby. Endpapers partly browned and foxed. Foxing to textblock and prelims. Flying Jacket wrapper is edge chipped with some slight loss.

  • The war in Finland finds Biggles and his companions members of the International Squadron which goes out to assist the Finns. By chance he learns of the existence of certain papers, hidden near the Finnish border, relating to the discoveries of a Polish inventor, which would be of the greatest value to any government.
  • Biggles retrieves them but only after a series of exasperating mischances that brought him nearer despair than he had ever been in the whole of his adventurous career.
