The story of Mary Frances and the Doll People for whom she builds a house to live in complete with furniture. Colour and b/w plates of dolls, clothing and furniture. Numerous b/w illustrations. Designed for the colour pictures to be cut out and the b/w pictures to be used for tracing and creating other dolly items. Blue cloth, large pictorial onlay to front cover. Some bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few small marks to covers and onlay. Gilt on spine dulled. Large white label stuck to front pastedown covering another label underneath. 1623 in ink to front endpaper. Some hinges cracked. A few grubby fingermarks to contents. Some contents (furniture pages) are missing, one is detached.

The Book of the "Daily Mirror's" House for Pip, Squeak and Wilfred. Includes Inventory of the Furniture. White cloth spine with blue patterned boards and white title onlay to front. Colour frontis and many b/w photos. A fascinating book. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers edge worn, top 2" of spine edge is split. Title-label on front cover is worn/creased. The spine is browned/grubby and there is a light pink stain to base. Inscription in ink to front pastedown (faded), ink name and address stamp to both endpapers. Endpapers and prelims are browned. There is foxing to the contents and some light stains to the margins of the plates and rear endpapers.
