A look at the seven years following the end of World War II and at the measures that had to be taken to keep bus services running with a time-expired fleet. Large format. Glazed pictorial boards. B/w photos throughout. ISBN: 1854142364. Half-title page is heavily spotted with damp from facing endpaper. Otherwise contents are clean. Glossy paper means it is possible some pages may be lightly stuck together but could be prised apart with care. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine.

Front endpaper has small tear holes/slats, where someone has had a name plate or something similar in book previously. Browning and foxing to endpapers and outer page edges.

Possibly published in same year as first, but first impression didn't contain the 4 page booklist. Spine is browned, with a little fraying to cloth at top and tail. Front joint is BROKEN! Only partially held on by a little stitching at top; this means the binding is weak/fragile. Page edge browning, with a few grubby marks.
