Covers slightly grubby with some darkening. Small bump to lower edge of front cover. One hinge cracked. Small pen mark to rear endpaper. Some light browning and an odd fox spot. A couple of corner tips creased. All plates present.

Peach covers. Colour plates. Spine worn and split along front edge (but not detached). Covers are a little grubby. Corners slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Some light fingermarks to page margins. Dustwrapper has loss to spine and corners, it torn and a bit grubby.

Blue cloth, dark blue titles and white vignette of ship to front. Blue pictorial endpapers. 16 colour plates with paper guards, b/w text illustrations. All edges blue. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Spine is browned. Damp mottle marks to covers plus a few grubby marks. Nameplate to front endpaper. Couple of plates are detached at top but still firmly attached at bottom. A few grubby marks but contents generally clean.
