ALFRED HAMBROOK'S MID KENT: THROUGH TIME
Written by Andrew Ashbee.
Stock no. 1826391
Published by Amberley Publishing.
1st
2010.
Slightly better than very good condition.
Alfred N. Hambrook was a stationer and printer whose shop in Snodland High Street served the community for around fifty years from 1901. His postcards of Snodland and district are well known and he produced a great number of other views with his brother. This book concentrates on an area of mid Kent all within about a dozen miles of Snodland. Hambrook was a good photographer and his images show a way of life and a landscape now much changed by the trappings of modern society. Pictorial cardwraps. B/w & colour photos. ISBN: 9781848689343. A lovely copy.
