Black cloth, gilt titles and vignette. B/w wood engravings. Story of Monks Norton in Worcestershire. Spine bumped. Name and address in ink to half title-page. Large foxspots to preliminary pages, some smaller foxspots to page margins. Dustwrapper is worn and grubby, spine browned with slight loss at top and bottom and also a small hole to centre.

Spine browned, red marks to rear cover lower edge and rear edge of spine. Endpapers and prelims browned and fragile. All plates present and lightly browned. Rear joint cracking.
