Olive green cloth, gilt title to spine. Colour illustrations. American edition. ISBN: 0764903365. Bookplate to front pastedown. From the personal library of Bryan L. Sage, distinguished naturalist and author. Wrapper is faded to spine.
Edited and introduced by Angus Davidson and Philip Hofer. Previously unpublished verses found 65 years after Lear's death. Brown pictorial boards. B/w drawings to text. Spine faded. A few scuff marks and grubby marks to covers. Foxing.
Small format 4.5 x 3.5". Pictorial boards show birds flying to a tree, cloth spine. B/w illustrations. A little wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby. Endpapers browned, and odd fox spot otherwise contents clean.

A little page browning; some foxing, mainly to outer page edges. A few grubby margin marks. Wrapper has some large tears and chips; large piece of loss to front panel and corner; grubby.
Ninth Edition. With additional songs, and an introduction by Sir. E. Strachey. Red cloth, gilt and black titles and black line decorations to cover. B/w illustrations. 144 pages. Some uneven fading to cover edges. Corners and spine are bumped, with wear. Browning and foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with some grubby marks; a bit of loss. Large closed tear to rear panel.
