Full brown calf binding with gilt decorations and title to spine. All edges red. Description historique et geographique des treize cantons Suisses et de leurs allies nouvelle edition. Two volumes in one. 4 folding b/w maps. 3 single page b/w maps. 30 b/w plates and one folding b/w plate. Text in French. Covers slightly rubbed at edges, spine slightly sunned. New marbled endpapers. Most pages have light brown stain on lower half of page (looks like ancient dampstain). Last sentence on page 272 has been adversely affected with a couple of words illegible. Otherwise the text is bright and readable. One map is browned at corner. Majority of plates not marked. A handsome copy.
