Heavy bumping and wear to spine and corners; some fraying to cloth, especially at top and tail of spine. Marks and scuffs to covers. Endpapers appear to be missing - looks like possibly new pastedowns have been added previously. Foxing and marks to contents. Frontis has some edge-creasing and chips; creasing. Contents are complete, a few margin marks; some cracked hinges.

Volume first only. 15 aquatint plates. Contained in modern binding, with 3/4 green cloth, raised bands to leather spine. Leather corners. Title on spine is 'Travels in England'. New endpapers. Prelims have a few closed tears, neatly repaired with tape. Margins of plates have a few light marks, but generally clean and bright.
