Grey boards, red title. Magnifying glass vignette to front. B/w illustrations. The 9th adventure of the Five Find-Outers and Dog. Spine and corners bumped, some slight browning to top and tail of spine. Minor dents to front cover edge. Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is well worn, torn and creased. Substantial loss to front panel (top half of front panel mostly missing).

There is a small patch to the front cover where a compass has been used to pierece the cloth, the indentations from this go through the prelims of the contents. Name and address in biro to front free-endpaper. Foxing to textblock which is also slightly grubby. Rear page is browned.
