Backstrip is detached but still present. Joints are worn showing webbing. Child's name in pencil and pencil lines to front free-endpaper, neat name and date in ink to same page. Heavy foxing and fingering to endpapers and textblock.

There was no school on Breezy Hill for the children, so Dame Slap, a dear kindly old rabbit opened one. Pictorial pink boards, dark blue titles. Two b/w illustrations per page with sentence of text below. 89 numbered pages. 7.75 x 5.5". Backstrip is missing. Covers are grubby and edge worn. Child's pencil and crayon writing to front pastedown. Colouring to some of the illustrations throughout, some small grubby marks to pages, some kind of small grease(?) stain to margins of most pages.
