Cloth spine, stiff card covers, pictorial front cover shows two children with wheelbarrow and chickens, advert to rear cover. Colour frontis and upwards of 60 b/w illustrations. 88 pages. Short stories and rhymes. Wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Scratches to covers and crease to bottom corner of rear cover. Prize plate to front endaper. Contents fingered, mainly lower margin. Light stain affects top corner tips of all pages.

Red pictorial cloth, gilt titles, bevelled edges, outer page edges gilt. B/w frontis. 208 pages plus 8 pages publications by the RTS. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Light darkening to cover edges and spine. Prize inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Joint between endpaper and frontis is slightly cracked. Some light page browning, foxing and fingering but generally contents clean.

Wear to cover edges. Rear cover is browned and foxed, light damp staining to spine and some damp staining to lower edge of front cover. Endpapers foxed. Some light foxing and fingering else contents clean.

Green cloth covers with blind border decorations and titles. Gilt titles to spine. Colour frontis. 223 numbered pages. A little fading to top edge of spine. Gilt titles on spine dulled. A couple of small marks to covers. Presentation plate to front endpaper. Small hole to front joint. Top text block edge grubby. Some light foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn but with very little loss. Spine and rear panel slightly grubby.

Large format. Grey pictorial cloth with gilt title blocks. Floral decorated endpapers. 64 coloured plates and vignettes. The colour plates have plain paper guards. Spine and corners worn with slight fraying of cloth. Covers a little grubby and darkened. Joints have been repaired with magic tape. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. One plate has a large closed tear to lower margin. One hinge is cracked. Contents have grubby fingermarks to page margins but plates are still bright. A nice copy of this rare antiquarian children's book.
