HISTORY OF THE HORN-BOOK (2 VOLUMES)

Very good condition. Considered a definitive work on the history of horn-books, this is an unchanged reprint of the original edition published in 1896. Volume 1 contains the two text volumes with b/w illustrations, some b/w photos and some fold-out pages to go along with the text. Volume 2 contains 7 reproduction horn-books.

Spines slightly faded. A few small, light marks to covers. Light foxing to endpapers. Some slight marking to backgrounds of horn-books (the white paper background, not the actual horn-books which are in excellent condition).
