Very good condition in a fair dustwrapper. A terrific treasure hunt with unexpected perils. The Professor's inventions include invisible glass and an expandable house that can be enlarged at will to contain extra guests! Yellow cloth, black title to spine and illustration to front cover. Pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis. B/w text illustrations throughout. 230 pages. The first in the series to be illustrated by James Arnold.
Spine slightly faded with darker patch at base. Small foxspots to endpapers, prelims and edge of textblock. A few foxspots to contents but generally near fine. Scarce original dustwrapper is in two halves, browned, and torn at edges with loss to top 1/3 of spine and to lower rear corner. Reduced from £120.
