Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
The subjects for this collection have been chosen for their variety of age, design and livery and for the part they have played in the development of public transport on the continent of Europe as well as in the United Kingdom. Very large oblong format. Brown cloth boards with gilt titles. 10 full page colour plates. Unpaginated. Foxing to endpapers and prelims. Several pages have not been bound in (but preesent). Else contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few small closed tears, 3.5" closed tear to lower rear edge with slight surface paper damage and has been repaired to verso with clear tape, foxing to rear panel.

Large format, cloth spine. Cardwraps. Full page colour plates of the uniforms. Light browning to horizontal edges of covers and text block. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned to spine and top rear edge, rear panel has a large paint mark. Slight musty odour present.

Front edge of spine fraying and split to outside edge. Corners lightly worn. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Frontispiece present but detached. A few hinges starting to pull. Some grubby marks present.
