13th Edition of "Fownes Chemistry". Full calf leather binding with 5 raised bands to spine and dark green title labels with gilt title. Front board has gilt crest of Royal Academical Institution of Belfast. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. B/w drawings to text. Fold-out colour frontis. xvi and 595 pages including index. Spine is faded and edge-worn, rubbed to top & tail. Boards are edge-rubbed and a little scuffed. Prize label to front pastedown dated 1885. Front joint cracked but firm. Some foxing present mainly to prelims and endpapers. Name & date in ink to front fly-leaf. Contents remarkably good for a book of this age!
