Mr. Street's diary of the first three years of the Second World War. A tale of war-time farming. Green cloth, black title to spine. B/w photos. Narrow band of browning to top & tail of boards. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Vertical crease to inside of front board and also to contents (minor). Text block browned. A few foxspots present, mainly to prelims. Black dustwrappr with yellow titles is edge-worn and creased, grubby to rear panel.

Faint stain to lower board edges. Foxing to text block and endpapers. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned to spine, worn at corners with slight loss, grubby to rear panel.

Black boards, gilt title to spine. A few faint marks to edge of textblock. Wrapper has small closed tear to top of spine and is very slightly faded to spine, lightly browned to rear and slightly creased at top edge of rear panel.
