Covers very worn, soiled and scuffed. Spine bumped, faded and rubbed. Front free-endpaper removed. Front joint almost broken (between title-page and contents page). Colouring to some of the b/w illustrations. One page (15/6) is detached but still present, just a little ragged at edges. One colour plate (opposite page 32) has a small marginal tear and crease (actual picture not affected). Contents are generally clean. Sold with all faults as a good reading copy.
