Very good condition. Dark red-brown simulated leather cloth, stamped in gilt on both front and back covers with differing cupid designs. Gilt lettering and 4 gilt cupid designs on spine. White endpapers. 30 magnificent colour plates, mounted on vellum-like paper with black descriptive letterpress beneath and all framed with elaborate border design in black.
Boards very clean and bright. A few minor scattered foxspots. A few grubby marks to margins. All plates present. Plate next to page 16 has 1mm by 70mm surface damage line. Minor corner creasing to plates on pages 24, 32 & 34. All other plates fine.
