Translated by Shapiro, introduced by Bakewell. Green goatskin leather binding with gilt titles. Limited edition of 1000, each copy numbered and signed by Quentin Blake. Colour illustrations. Top edge gilt. Copy 180 SIGNED by Quentin Blake. A fine copy contained in publisher's slipcase which is a little scuffed.

Edition Limited to 165 copies, of which 150 are for sale. White spine with gilt title, pale blue paper boards. 48 fables. 88 pages. Edges uncut. Light bump to top of spine. Foxing and a few tiny marks to covers. Foxing, mainly to endpapers. Browning to half-title page and last text page. Contents otherwise clean. Copy no. 97 SIGNED by Marsh. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and chipped with a little loss. Panels grubby, spine browned.
