JUST WILLIAM'S LUCK

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Green cloth, gilt titles on spine and front cover. This is the only full-length William book (the others being made up of short stories) and was based on Val Guest's screenplay for the 1947 film of the same name. 264 pages.

Spine bumped. Pale browning to endpapers, foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is lightly foxed on verso, is edge rubbed, faded to spine and a bit grubby (particularly to rear panel).

  • This is the only full length Wiliam Book, and is based on Val Guest's screen play for the 1947 Film.
  • The story revolves around the attempts of William and his friends to get their elder brothers married, such that they might become the recipients of possessions replaced by wedding presents. After a series of unlikely adventures, the boys serendipitously foil a gang of fur-coat smugglers, and receive a reward from the police.
