Good condition. Being a Book of Stories and verse for Children from Six to Twelve. Orange cloth, black titles and vignettes. Large format. Tipped-in colour plates mounted on green card. B/w illustrations to text. Authors include Chesterman, Todd, Farjeon, etc.
Spine has been split on both sides near centre of book and glued back into place, alos faded and bumped with small splits at top and bottom. Covers grubby and marked. Both joints badly cracked, first gathering is pulled, some hinges cracked. Large, neat ink inscription to front endpaper. Some foxing and light browning to prelims and endpapers, rest of contents generally clean. Plates are clean and bright although there is wear to some of the green card edges.
