Within close proximity of each other, the towns of Llanhilleth and Aberbeeg were once vitally important centres in terms of industrial wellbeing in the western valley of Monmouthshire, South Wales. A portrait of a meaningful and most interesting past. Blue boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. ISBN: 1874538972. Spine slightly cocked. Boards clean and bright as are the contents. Blue pictorial dustwrapper is lightly browned to spine.

An interesting account of Chepstow with 9 black and white illustrations and pictorial map. Preface by Jolliffe. Green cloth, gilt title to spine. A lovely copy in price-cut pictorial dustwrapper which is slightly grubby and has a few small foxspots, alsoo repaired to base of spine on verso with now yellowed tape.

Blue boards. Volume II front cover and prelim pages are almost detached, some other pages are loose, where stitching is starting to come undone. Marks and heavy bumping and wear to cover edges. Some foxing and browning. Possibly good candidate for rebinding! At the moment, a reading set only.
