A collection of exhilarating impressions of Iceland jotted down during late spring of 1948 and summer of 1949. Black boards with silver title to spine and silver vignette of two horses to front board. Endpapers show maps of Iceland. B/w illustrations. 128 pages. Spine and corners are bumped. Uneven fading to boards. Some pages are unopened along the top edge. Contents are clean. Original glassine wrapper is wrinkled and edge worn with loss. The paper flaps are browned and a bit ragged at the edges. A nice copy of a scarce book. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
