Cancelled Veteran Car Club stamp to front pastedown is mostly hidden by front flap of dustwrapper, another stamp to rear endpaper. Grey pictorial dustwrapper is rubbed and scuffed, a little grubby.

A & C Black Colour Book 20 Shilling Series. Dark blue cloth with harp and shamrock design printed in green and yellow. Gilt titles to spine. 50 tissue-guarded colour plates. 3000 copies printed. The text used is the same as the 1906 edition illustrated by Walker. This is the NEW edition with new illustrations. Front cover is a little bowed. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Browning to spine, with small split to rear edge. Joints are a bit cracked, some hinges are pulled. Foxing to various degrees throughout. A couple of pages (around pages 15 / 16) have chipped/ragged page margins.

Brown blind decorated cloth with gilt titles to spines. An American's impressions of Great Britain in Victorian times. Volume 1 is probably nearer very good - Bumping and a bit of chipping to corners, some browning and foxing; binding is nice and tight. Volume 2 - is chipped with splits to edges; tear in cloth on rear, but top cloth still present; damp stained; half of title page is MISSING - some heavy foxing and damp marking throughout. Please note, this appears to be a MIXED set with slightly different cloths - possibly bought at different times.
