Large format. 11 x 8". Two volumes in one. Full brown diced calf binding, gilt titles and decorations to spine. 118 b/w plates plus vignette (lacks portrait of Mr. Willis). 170 pages + 186 pages. Marbled endpapers. Front board detached. Board edges worn. Covers scuffed. Bookplate of Francis T. Touzel of Jersey on front pastedown. Foxing throughout. Pages 173-178 of volume II have been bound in upside down and back to front (pages run from 172-178, 173-179). Plate facing page 185 of volume II has a small piece missing from corner affecting margin only. Rear joint a little fragile from the outside - leather split, else binding of contents is nice tight. A good candidate for rebinding.
