Forty-eight hand-coloured plates (actually forty-seven listed) of ninety-five flowers selected and described in an appendix by Rev. Professor George Henslow. xii & 284 pages including index plus 4 pages publisher adverts to rear. Green cloth boards, yellow titles and borders. Spine browned, title to spine almost illegible. Text block browned. Foxing throughout, some larger spots also affect the plates. Plates are still bright despite browning.

Pictorial dustwrapper is browned to rear panel, faded, minor foxing to front panel, top of spine with the series number is missing.

Large, heavy format. Brown/orange cloth with gilt title to spine. B/w distribution maps. Slight bumping to spine and corners. A little crease to cloth at front spine edge (binding error?). Ink name stamps to edges of textblock. Ex-libris name stamp and small name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Some foxing to textblock.Dustwrapper is edge worn and has been covered with laminate which isn't quite the right size (too small). There are red lines across the panels of the wrapper (printing error?).

Name plate and small address label to front free-endpaper. Light browning to endpapers. Edge of fold-out map has been slightly misfolded and now has a slightly ragged margin. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with slight loss, spine of wrapper is a bit grubby and front flap is creased.
