Front cover shows Rupert pulling small boy out of hole in road. Pale green pictorial boards, red cloth spine. Front cover states that there are 200 cut-outs and five stories. (Later reprints had 120 cut-outs and four stories). This edition states it Contains Rupert in Trouble Again; Rupert and the Old Man of the Sea; Rupert the Witch and Tabitha; Rupert and the Wilful Princess; Rupert Goes Hiking. However, One story is MISSING (published and bound this way) - Missing Rupert, The Witch and Tabitha, it also has 132 cut-outs (NOT the stated 200 or later 120). An early reprint! Spine is unevenly faded and marked. Bumping and wear to cover edges. A few scuff marks. Foxing and browning to outer page edges. No cut-outs have been cut out from book. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. An early reprint.

The cut-outs are Tourtel pictures taken from the stories. Numerous other b/w illustrations. (This is a 1950's reprint of the original which was published with 200 cut-outs and five stories). Contains: Rupert In Trouble Again; Rupert and the Old Man of the Sea; Rupert and the Wilful Princess; Rupert Goes Hiking. An early reprint with 132 cut-outs (this includes 'extra's to title pages). Spine is bumped and faded. Bumping to corners. Scuffing along cover edges. Hinge next to 'Rupert and the Old man of the Sea' title is pulled -making the binding a bit weak. Browning. All cut-outs present and not cut-out. Contents are generally very good.

The first book of Rupert's Library. Grey boards with pictorial onlay to front showing Rupert with a Golly and the Magic Toy-Man in the distance. Contains four stories: Rupert and the Magic Toy-Man, Rupert and the Princess, Rupert At School and Rupert and the Old Miser. 3 colour plates plus two-tone illustrations throughout. Rebacked with blue cloth. A few minor scuff marks to front cover, small mark to rear cover. Corners a little worn. Front joint repaired as part of rebacking. Original pictorial endpapers retained. On verso of frontis plate there is an inscription in ink dated 1924 and offsetting from the picture. The outer margin of the frontis is grubby. Prelims and endpapers are foxed. Some foxing to contents but the pages are generally clean. Overall a bright copy of this scarce early Rupert book.

Contains four stories: Rupert & the Magic Key, Rupert & the Brigands, Rupert & Reynard Fox, Rupert in Dreamland. Approx. 9.75 x 7.5". Spine is split down both sides, looks like backstrip has been glued into place. Spine and corners bumped and worn. A few marks to covers, onlay slightly rubbed, rear cover more rubbed and buff board is starting to show through in places. Last text page almost detached. Bear's head transfer stuck to blank page opposite first text page. Tape repair to bottom of two pages and to one of colour plates. Foxing and a few marks to contents.
