The essence of the English countryside captured in text and superb wood-engravings and b/w plates. 7 etchings by BB, 5 drawings by G.D.Armour and chapter tail-pieces by BB. 237 pages. Foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is browned to spine, with spotting; edge-creased with a few chips and nicks, but minimal loss.

Large format. Red cloth, gilt titles. 20 plates. Top edge gilt. Spine is extremely faded, with bumping and some chipping to cloth along top edge. Marks to covers. Page browning. Some foxing, mostly to outer page edges. All plates present.

Few sports offer so many opportunities for humour as hunting. Cream pictorial boards. 87 pages. B/w illustrations. Introduction by Paget. Spine very slightly bumped, some very slight darkening to cover edges. Name plate to front endpaper. Endpapers browned and some light foxing at page edges. A few margin marks. Top of a couple of pages roughly opened resulting in a small closed tear and small piece missing from top of one page. Dustwrapper is very grubby with a few small stains and is price-cut.
