Being nine Fairy Tales from the Old French. 12 superb colour plates throughout. 251 pages. 9.5 x 7". Modern bindning. SIGNED by illustrator ''To my friend Isaac Jones this '20 year old' with all best wishes Edmund Dulac Xmas 1948". This copy has been rebound with new endpaper, it has been done in the style of the original with 3/4 cloth and cream spine with the original title part of the spine laid on to the new spine. A little light foxing. All plates present.

Spine bumped and worn with very split to top edge. Corners worn. Covers a bit grubby. Front joint is partially broken between frontis and title page. Rear joint starting to crack. Name in ink to front endpaper. Crease and small edge tear to page 85/86. Small brown spot to lower edge of text block affects bottom edge of a few pages. A little foxing.

SIGNED by Steadman to half-title with some slight transfer of ink to free-endpaper opposite. Contents fine. Dustwrapper is ever so slightly edge rubbed causing very slight grubbiness.
