A selection of stories and rhymes chosen, arranged and in some part rewritten by Mare. Red decorated cloth with gilt title and vignette to spine. B/w text illustrations. 420 pages. Spine bumped. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby, browned to spine with some loss at top of spine.

A collection of stories about the days when the world was brand new, and the animals were still making up their minds just what they wanted to be. Blue mottled boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. 72 pages. Spine slightly bumped and rubbed. Endpapers partly browned with a few light foxspots. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with slight loss to base of spine, crease and tear to lower corner of rear panel and slightly grubby on rear.

Oblong format. White pictorial boards. Simple b/w drawings throughout. Billy Bobtail is a rabbit. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed, tiny nick to side of spine. Covers a little grubby and foxed. Light foxing to endpapers. Name in ink (Alec Buckels - but no idea if this is an authentic author signature or not!) to front endpaper. A couple of page hinges slightly cracked. Creases to some pages from the binding process. Contents clean.
