A Description of the Most Remarkable Buildings and Curiosities in the British Metropolis. Small format. Red cloth spine, plain boards. 66 b/w copper-plate engravings. Top & tail of spine worn, base of spine frayed. Boards grubby and illustrations/titles faded. corners worn. Text block browned with slight shave to lower edge (not affecting contents. Endpapers missing. Contemporary name in ink to top of title page. Joints cracked. 2 pages of plates (6 plates) missing. Top 1.5" of introduction page missing (cut out). Contents are stained and grubby, some damp staining.
