Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Blue covers. B/w illustrations. Marks to outer page edges. Cellophane has been put to cover the book - but has been stuck using sticky tape - so wrapper is stuck to book at pastedowns and edges. Some chipping at edges of cellophane.

Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
The Far Island was Margot Pardoe's first book and introduces Dick and Jean Fraser who later appear in the Bunkle series of books for which the author is best known. Blue cloth with black titles and vignettes. B/w illustrations. 308 pages. Spine and corners lightly bumped. Spine slightly browned. Name in pen to front endpaper. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers, prelims and text block. Book has a musty smell. Price-cut dustwrapper is worn, torn and chipped, a little loss from ends of spine and folds. Panels are grubby and foxed, spine is stained and browned.
